Higher Child Care Subsidy from March 7th 2022.

It’s a great day in the childcare industry when our families can enjoy cheaper childcare. It just keeps getting better and better…..The Government removed the means tested income cap for families back in  December of 2021, and NOW they are rolling out even more support for our families with more than one child aged 5 or under in care will get a higher Child Care Subsidy (CCS) for their second child and younger children.

This is a game changer for many families. What this means is, families will now benefit rather than be disadvantaged for having more than one child in care. Younger children will receive anywhere from 30%- 95% higher subsidy to make it more affordable.

Is my family eligible?

Families may be eligible if they:

1. Earn less than $354,305, or

2. Have more than one child aged 5 or under in child care.
