Child Enquiries

Do I have to have my child into a routine before coming into childcare?

When settling your child into the Bright Kids routine we can be flexible and allow them to use their ‘home’ routine while they are getting use to their new surrounds. We will then gradually get them into the same routine as the other children in their age group which seems to happen pretty naturally. In saying that our routines are always flexible to allow for the individual dynamic of the group.

What do I need to pack for my child’s day?

All families are asked to provide a spare set of clothes for their child in case of any spillages or accidents (extra pants and undies if toilet training).
Please provide a set of sheets (Top and bottom- cot sheets are proffered), sunhat and a drink bottle. Please label all your child’s belongings.
All items are listed in our parents handbook provided on enrolment.

What type of meals do you provide? Do you cater for dietary, cultural and medical needs?

We have a 6 week rotational menu which swaps between 2 sandwich days and 3 hot meals.
The 6 week rotational menu is also changed up each season, introducing new and exciting menu choices.
All menus are nutritionally balanced to ensure that children are provided with the recommended daily intake of each food group.
Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea are provided. Dietary, cultural and medical needs are also catered for at the centre.

What do I need to do on the first day?

On arrival, our Director will show you through to your child’s classroom, where your child’s bag will be placed in their locker.
