HEALTHY HALLOWEEN TREATS

It’s that time of year again for our spooktacular Halloween healthy treats. We have lots of delicious snacks that are quick and easy to make with the whole family, so sit back and enjoy these delicious ideas.

Frozen Banana Ghost

Ingredients

  • Ripe banana
  • Vanilla yogurt (add honey if you want a sweeter ghost)
  • Dark choc chips for eyes and mouth
  • Paddle pop sticks

Method

Step 1: use a ripe banana cut into half (or a full banana if you want)

Step 2: use the vanilla yogurt to dip your bananas in

Step 3: add 3 dark choc chips to make a mouth and 2 eyes

Step 4: freeze your banana ghost overnight (or a couple of hours depending on how you want it)

Step5: take out of freezer and enjoy.

Mandarin Pumpkins 

Ingredients

  • A mandarin
  • Celery sticks
  • Patty cake tin

Method

Step 1: peel a mandarin

Step 2: cut celery sticks to put on the top of the mandarin as a stem

Step 3: serve in a patty cake tin and enjoy

Apple Monsters

Ingredients:

  • Apple slices
  • Peanut butter (we are using cream cheese as we are a nut free Centre)
  • Mini marshmallows

Method:

Step 1: cut your apples in to wedges

Step 2: spread your cream cheese (or peanut butter) onto both sides of the apple wedges.

Step 3: place the mini marshmallows on both sides to make it look like teeth.

Step 4: put the one side of the apple wedges on top of the other side to create a mouth with teeth.

Step 5: enjoy
