EYLF and QKLG Programs

The (EYLF) Early Years Learning Framework is the national guideline for facilitating the teaching practices of the five key principles that Underpin Belonging, Being & Becoming. Key Principles – Identity, Beliefs & Values, Capabilities, Behaviours and Environment.

The Learning outcomes of those principles are: IDENTITY, COMMUNITY, WELL-BEING, LEARNING & COMMUNICATION. These Outcomes are represented by the brightly coloured figures adorning the  verandah walls, in our outdoor learning space.

The (QKLG) Queensland Kindy Learning Guidelines provides advice for planning, documenting and assessing children’s learning and development. The learning development areas are Identity, connectedness, Well-being, Active learning, Communicating & Intentional teaching resources. The QKLG adopts the vision of the EYLF ‘that all children experience learning that is engaging and builds success for life’ It is designed to support teachers to plan and implement quality teaching and learning in preparation for formal schooling. Our Bachelor Of Early Childhood Teacher Miss Patti, believes  “Children are innately inquisitive, curious thinkers of the world around them and thrive on rich, engaging and active experiences”.
