O ur Sea Turtles (Pingin) room, Pingin meaning turtle in Yugambeh Language, which is the language our Indigenous region. Our Pre-Prep, school preparation program has unparalleled teaching methods to help launch students into a smooth and successful first year of formal schooling. According to Nerang Alliance, we are one of the few centres that achieve high results year after year with preparing our children for school readiness. This program is seemless.
Our Bachelor Teacher, Miss Tracy brings wisdom and experience to the team with a fresh approach to teaching. Tracy was a childcare educator for 15 years before she became an ECT. Having a sound knowledge of where children need to be developmentally prior to formal schooling and where they need to be in their first year allows Tracy to identify and teach at their individual skill level and meet every child’s needs simultaneously. We are extremely blessed to have her on our team.

The QKLG Embraces diversity, exploring decision making and the purpose is supporting professional practice where teachers draw together advice in the guideline with their professional knowledge and understanding about children’s interests, ideas, intentions and parent/family/community priorities and contexts. The guideline is there to support kindergarten teachers to strengthen children’s sense of belonging, being and becoming as they promote and enrich children’s holistic learning; build respectful relationships with families; promote children’s wellbeing and the learning process; interact with children; support children with additional needs; effectively monitor and assess children’s learning and build connections between children’s prior, current and future learning experiences.
Our pre-prep room is spacious in size and can carry the earthly tones of burnt orange with grandeur. The colour psychology behind why we chose the colour orange is because it stimulates enthusiasm and creativity.
